Read for my government- terrorism class. I thought this book was okay. Dec 11, Rachel Bayles rated it liked it. This textbook is essentially a page literature review. It has some interesting information, but it's hard to slog through, and some of the writing is downright bad.

The author will try to jam in a synopsis of everyone's research on a particular topic, and it just ends up reading like class notes. It seems like the first edition got rushed to print, and they never went back to edit. Not recommended for an intro class, but only for people who are motivated enough to want to see the study of te This textbook is essentially a page literature review.

Not recommended for an intro class, but only for people who are motivated enough to want to see the study of terrorism through the lens of specific research papers. It's a textbook so it's not like I'm going to rate it as high as a book I've chosen to read. Average at best. Full of ideas and concept that do not mesh with the real life. Definitions of polices specifically attributed to named organizations do seem to mesh with reality.

Very insightful, gives the reader a complete understanding of Terrorism I'm using this to complete a college course but it is a great read for those interested in knowing the true facts about terrorism and not just what the media wants you to think, it provides a good working knowledge of what terrorism is, and it is written in a neutral format with all sides taken into account.

Informative Book This book is really nice for people who are totally new to the material. Terrorism and Homeland Security This book is dry reading, but very informative on the subject of terrorism. Good Texbook I can't wait to get this textbook in the mail and see what more things I could learn about terrorism and what makes a terrorist tick!!!
