Alright since it seems that so many people have questions about how to do this i will give you a nice complete guide on how to take ownership of a file in Vista. OK, where is the easy way. Click edit and then click the username of the person you want to give ownership to you may need to add it if it isn't there - or it may be yourself - it doesn't need to be the person you are logged in as but you do need to be logged in as an admiistrator.

Normally, when a folder is created, the username who created the folder is registered as the owner - so if the game is wanting to create a folder i'm not sure why this step is necessary unless it is some other folder it wants ownership of and then you should be careful because you don't want to compromise your security or lock yourself out from other programs with files in the same program follder.
